How many natural disasters have happened in the past few years? Too many.
Everyone remembers the January 12 earthquake in Haiti. To this day, only estimates can be made to the total number of people dead. The U.S gov says that its at least 222,517 dead, 300,000 injured, 1.1 million displaced, 97,294 houses destroyed and188,383 damaged in the Port-au-Prince area and in much of southern Haiti.
February 27, 2010: Magnitude 8.8 earthquake offshore of Chile. More than 700 dead. Moved Earth's figure axis by about 3 inches.
What disaster will happen in March?
Is this all leading to something else?
